I understand there was flooding down here months ago but this is rediculous. Have seen no one working on the property. The motel/tepees are closed due to the flooding. There is a swampy river on the south side of the RV park full of trash. From the flooding I hope yet there is trash all over the RV park. Broken beer bottles, bottle caps and cigarette butts everywhere. There are a lot of workers living here and several RVs that are junk and haven't been removed. Looks like a junk yard. Please do yourself a favor and stay at the Village RV park down the street. No websit but very clean and much better maintained. All reviews on here are true. Dirt sites, potholes, no picnic table, water tastes like bleach, bathhouse and laundry are clean, antennae is better than cable.

I cant speak to the RV section but the teepees were really interesting. Its definitely a novel experience and only that. Fairly clean aside from the obviously lived in environment, which is understandable given they are old structures. Two chairs, a small table, a chest of drawers and a queen size bed grace the meager room. Only 40 channels of cable TV are available as far as entertainment goes. Hot water, fairly clean shower and sparkling toilet, though with a weak flush. Your room mates will be privy to your actions while in the loo due to the thin door. Take care of business at Buc-ees, which is a very short drive. Kind and brisk service. They sell branded shirts in the office. Get one.
It is so cool to have a local place like this recognized as being a top travel destination in Texas. We recommend it to our out of town guests over hotels, and they always enjoy the experience.
